Yields 10 people
To make the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
Ingredients for the Cocktail (makes 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Cordial: Combine the listed components into a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Then, remove from the heat and leave to cool down fully. Pour into an sterilised bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, it can be stored for up to one month.
Preparing the Batch Mix: Combine all the liquids in a big jug, allow it to infuse for an hour, then filter it preferably using cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the premix to a stirring glass containing ice, and agitate carefully for one minute to chill. Strain to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, decorate with a few cranberries adding the final touch with a light spray of the essential oil over the top.
